Callrider : Streetwalks

Hello,

this is the Quad “Streetwalks” by Callrider: music (for walking) at 4 different times of the day.

Morning Glory: as the name suggests, it’s very early in the morning, the streets are still sleepy, but the energy of the rising day is in the air.

Between The Line: Afternoon. Between work and private life. You walk out of your office, open the door and inhale your surroundings.

After Sun: It’s getting dark, night is coming, you prepare yourself for the second half of the day – artificial light.

Sun Rising Black: Deep, dark night. Everything is a bit suspicious, the streets are empty except of a few walkers. Thoughts spin through the head – also maybe because you’re drunk.

You can download the “Streetwalks”-Quad for free, mp3 320kb including the 4 beautiful covers by Eva Wilde, here: Callrider : Streetwalks

The tuba on Between the Line (playing the percussive sounds and the bass drum!) was performed by Jon Sass - a virtuous genius on his instrument. Listen to his beautiful music on jonsass.com. His latest CD “Sassified” also includes a track called “Citywalker” which was an inspiration for “Between The Line” as well.

The words on Sun Rising Black were spoken by Otto Horvath, a musician from head to toe. Spending a lot of time in bars built his unique voice. It was the perfect “voice in your head” for this track. Otto also wrote the lyrics. Get inspired by this hell of a guy on ottohorvath.org.

The covers are from berlin based artist Eva Wilde. I’m very proud that she gave me permission to use her gorgeous interpretations and edits of façades – marvelous works from an exceptionally gifted artist. Check out evawilde.de.
